My hands are numb as she stumbles infront of me. Behind the sunlight streams through the doorway but the darkness of her blood plunges me into night.
I stare helplessly at a piece of my soul and my knees buckle with the sinking feeling of loss. She looks up at me with tears in her eyes and asks me a question I cannot answer.
As life slowly ebbs out of her, I frantically hold her close to me and wish I can turn back time.
Her life passes in a flash across my eyes and I realize that now I die too. The bullets that pierced her took me away too.
Beyond me, on the rug, cold steel.
Why did I do it?
There is only one solution.
I m sorry if this is the way it ends.
Cold Steel beckons.
